Keynote Speaker: David Goldman
David Goldman is the founder and Chairman of the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE). FASPE promotes ethical leadership within the professions, using the unique lens of the actions, choices and motivations of their professional counterparts in Nazi Germany as a starting point for analysis of contemporary professionalism. FASPE provides graduate students in professional schools and early career professionals with fellowships to study professional ethics, responsibility and leadership. The Fellowships now focus on Business, the Clergy, Journalism, Law and Medicine. FASPE also conducts ethical leadership training for mid- and senior-level professionals within law firms, consulting firms and other corporate institutions.
David, now retired, was a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He served as the head of the firm’s International Corporate Practice and as head of the firm’s New York office. David’s practice focused on corporate counseling in a variety of settings and industries.
David is now a partner in Rosemark Capital Group, an investment firm focusing on investments and operations in the field of digital marketing.
David has served on the board of a number of for‐profit and non‐profit organizations. He was chairman of the Auschwitz Jewish Center and serves on the Board of the American Friends of the Polin Museum. He was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Yale Law School Fund.
David is a graduate of Washington University (BA, 1973) and Yale Law School (JD, 1976). He lives in Princeton, New Jersey.
For more than three decades, Bridget Ryan Berman has been responsible for consumer businesses and retail operations at leading global fashion and luxury goods companies. She has served in various executive leadership capacities, including Chief Executive Officer of Victoria’s Secret Direct and Chief Experience and Strategy Officer at Enjoy Technology, Inc. Ms. Ryan Berman founded Ryan Berman Advisory, LLC, a consumer and investment advisory firm in early 2018.
During her tenure at the Ralph Lauren Corporation, Ms. Ryan Berman was Group President responsible for Global Retail. She was Chief Operating Officer of Apple Retail and Chief Executive Officer of Giorgio Armani Corporation. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ryan Berman held various merchandising, product development and operational roles at The May Company, Federated and Allied Department Stores.
In 2018 and 2019, Ms. Ryan Berman was recognized as one of Women Inc. Magazine’s Most Influential Corporate Directors. She currently serves on the boards of Asbury Automotive Group, Newell Brands, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers and Tegra Global. Previously, Ms. Ryan Berman was a director at J. Crew Group and chaired the board of BH Cosmetics.
As a graduate of Virginia Tech, Ms. Ryan Berman is President of the Advisory Council for the Pamplin College of Business (PAC) and serves on the University’s Alumni Association Board. She is also a trustee at the Benedictine Schools of Richmond. Along with her husband, she founded and is a director of Miraclefeet, a non-profit organization providing technical and financial support to children and families for the treatment of clubfoot in developing countries.
