Marvin Boyd

Senior Advisor

Marvin graduated from the Pamplin College of Business in 2001 with dual degrees in Management Science & Information Technology (now Business Information Technology) and Management.  He received his Masters in Information Technology Management from the University of Virginia in 2011.  He is a certified Program Management Professional (PgMP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).  He has worked at the Virginia Housing Development Authority, Circuit City, and is currently a Software Development Director at Freddie Mac in McLean, VA specializing in data solutions. 

Marvin serves on the Pamplin Advisory Council, the Business Information Technology (BIT) Advisory Board, and the Division of Student Affairs Advisory Board.  He is the immediate past president of the Pamplin Society, former president of the National Capital Region Alumni Chapter, and served on the Virginia Tech Alumni Association National Board.

In his spare time, he volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for Loudoun County and for the National Park Service.  He enjoys playing peek-a-book with his newborn daughter, world travel, red wine, and is an avid runner.
