2019 William E. Wine Award
GREG KADLEC, the R.B. Pamplin Professor of Finance and the Russell V. and Arlene F. Oliver Professor in Investment Management Research, received one of university’s three 2019 William E. Wine Awards. Kadlec, whose many teaching awards include the Herakovich Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award, has played a key role in enhancing the department’s educational environment for students.
Willis Blackwood Real Estate Director
KEVIN BOYLE, director of Virginia Tech’s Program in Real Estate and professor of agricultural and applied economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, has been named the Willis Blackwood Real Estate Director. Boyle was named the founding director of the Program in Real Estate in 2012. His guidance has grown the program from four majoring students in 2013 to more than 300 students today—and into one of the leading undergraduate programs in real estate, recently ranked fifth most popular in the nation.
