Biomedical, business, engineering students set for HS&T shark tank-style competition

November 27, 2018

Virginia Tech graduate students participate in a biomedical version of the popular television show, â Shark Tankâ . While the student teams are competing for cash prizes, the real reward comes from learning how to collaborate to translate biomedical intellect property into a marketable product. Local entrepreneurs and educators judge the teams and award prizes. (David Hungate for VTCRI)

Shark Tank-2017
Students from the colleges of business and engineering, and the translational biology, medicine, and health graduate program are teaming up to pitch commercialization ideas. This year’s biomedical “shark tank”-style competition, called the HS&T Hokie Pitch, will be at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute on Nov. 30.
