About 75 students, alumni, faculty, and staff enjoyed an evening of networking and table discussions on professional development at a recent gathering of Women in Business - National Capital Region, organized by the Pamplin College of Business.

The event, at the Westin Arlington Gateway in Arlington, Virginia, was sponsored by Kim Shanahan (FIN ’93), president and CEO of accelHRate.

The discussions, led by alumni, focused on nine how-to topics, including how to network, build confidence, advocate for female colleagues, and move from confrontation to conversation.
