BLACKSBURG, VA - PRISM, the Pamplin College of Business’s next generation marketing agency, announced a new client, Senior Class Gift. PRISM is partnering up with Virginia Tech Alumni Relations and the Senior Class Gift Committee to launch an interdisciplinary marketing campaign to raise awareness for the Senior Class Gift Program and further establish their brand. After extensive market research, phase two of this marketing plan will be implemented on Feb. 6. and run throughout the spring semester.

The Senior Class Gift Program, managed by Virginia Tech Advancement and Alumni Relations is a way for graduating Seniors  to begin their legacy and give back to the university. Graduating seniors are encouraged to give their Senior Class Gift, a donation of $20.19 to support whatever has impacted them the most during their time at Virginia Tech, and in turn will receive a black and gray cord to be worn at the Spring 2019 Graduation Commencement. These cords will represent the graduate’s support for Virginia Tech and its traditions.

On behalf of Senior Class Gift, Shaun Grahe, Director of Student and Young Alumni Engagement said, “Our hope is that through this partnership with PRISM, we will bring awareness to the importance of philanthropy at Virginia Tech. The Senior Class Gift program is an opportunity for seniors to support whatever at Virginia Tech has impacted them the most during their time. By working with PRISM, we are hoping to capture the student voice in bringing the importance of giving back to Virginia Tech to the forefront of the minds of all of our students. We want students to be excited about the opportunity to support Virginia Tech through their time, talent, and treasure, and plan on a lifetime of engagement with a place that has given them everything.”

PRISM will be assisting the Senior Class Gift in promoting brand awareness, raising awareness for the 2019 Senior Class Gift Program, and increasing campus-wide engagement. The digital marketing campaign will kick off on Feb. 6 at the 100 Days Until Graduation Celebration at Lane Stadium. The campaign will continue until Virginia Tech’s University Graduation Commencement on May 17.

“We are thrilled to work with our amazing VT Alumni and bringing the Senior Class Gift program to the next level,” said Wertalik.

The award-winning organization will execute this campaign for Senior Class Gift Program with a team of talented PRISMites including an account manager, graphic designers, social media strategists, and copywriters to contribute expertise and hard work. This team will be led by Donna Wertalik, Director of Marketing for the Pamplin College of Business and PRISM faculty founder and advisor, and overseen by PRISM Chief Marketing Officer Amanda Tinkleman and Account Supervisor Kelsey Stoner.

“PRISM is very excited to be working alongside the Senior Class Gift Committee on the spring campaign to spread awareness of the importance of giving back to the university that has given the students so much, including myself,” said Celia Bryne, PRISM’s Senior Class Gift Account Manager.

This campaign will be implemented on digital platforms with the intention of inspiring service, empowering Virginia Tech’s motto, “Ut Prosim,” and creating school pride in Virginia Tech’s undergraduate class in order to encourage students to give back to the university. The PRISM team will assist Senior Class Gift in creating excitement for this year’s graduating class and maintaining momentum throughout the 100 Days Until Graduation movement.
