Business Information Technology (BIT)

Major Overview

The Business Information Technology (BIT) major educates students on how organizations create value through efficient, data-driven operations in manufacturing, healthcare, finance, or government. The BIT major has two separate specializations: Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSM) or Decision Support Systems (DSS). OSM prepares students to design, analyze, and improve the systems that convert raw materials, labor, and capital into products and services. DSS focuses on the design, implementation and use of computerized systems that support business managers in the decision-making process.
