Orientation

Registration for New Student Orientation IS REQUIRED and should be completed through your HokieSpa account.

Transfer

International

Before Orientation

  • All Pamplin College of Business students are pre-registered for required business courses, regardless of business major.  Schedule adjustments are made as VT receives AP, IB, and transfer credits.  Students will not be able to view or make adjustments to their schedule until they attend orientation. 
    Reminder:  Please bring a copy of test scores (AP/IB) and transcripts for any dual enrollment courses with you to orientation.
  • Please complete all requirements on the Pre-Orientation checklist before attending orientation.

During Orientation

  • First-Year Orientation is a two-day program held in July and August.  If you have not already done so, please register for Orientation through HokieSpa.   
  • All Pamplin College of Business students and guests will attend the university orientations sessions on Day One, as well as a mandatory class registration session in designated computer labs on Day Two. 
  • Students will receive additional details from New Student and Family Programs. 

After Orientation

  • Complete the following online programs offered by Students Affairs 
    • Haven
    • DiversityEdu
    • AlcoholEdu
  • Make schedule changes, only if necessary.  It is highly recommended that students not make changes to required business courses. If a student drops a required course, the Pamplin College of Business cannot guarantee that the course can be added back to their schedule.
  • Relax and enjoy the rest of summer!

  • All Pamplin College of Business international students will attend a mandatory class registration session on August 21. 
  • Students will receive additional details from the Cranwell International Center.
