Biography

Emily McCorkle is originally from the Northern VA-DC Metro area; more specifically from Alexandria, VA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Pamplin College of Business in 2011.

After spending four years in Blacksburg, Emily fell in love with Southwest VA and decided to work in Roanoke after graduation. She landed her first job with the help of Pamplin Career Services and LinkedIn, and found herself working as a Technical Recruiter at TEKsystems, an IT Staffing & Services Company. The work that she did in that role reaffirmed what she is most passionate about: building strong relationships and being of service to others. Emily was fortunate enough to reconnect with Mr. Mease, and was able to return to Virginia Tech, giving back to her alma mater.

Emily currently resides in Roanoke. She enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, singing and listening to live music (supporting local musicians), and of course, Hokie Football!!
