ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - In 2024, a pair of online safety advocates wants people to add another resolution to their list that focuses on protecting their personal information in the digital world.

Voices of Privacy is an educational series created by Virginia Tech professors Dr. France Bélanger and Donna Wertalik.

The duo joined Here @ Home for their monthly segment to encourage a digital cleanup and enhanced security throughout all online accounts and apps.

Some steps you can take right now include closing any unused accounts and apps, going through social media to see what type of information is publicly posted, and checking the privacy settings on your devices.

Listen to the interview for additional safety tips to avoid misinformation and to protect your privacy.
