Amy Transue

Responsibilities and Background

Amy joined the Pamplin College of Business in 2015, bringing her expertise in hospitality and event management to the university community. In her role, she oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of college and alumni events, ensuring each gathering strengthens connections, fosters engagement, and reflects the college’s commitment to excellence. Before returning to her alma mater, she built her expertise in the Northern Virginia area, planning and managing conferences and events for an association with attendance ranging from 150 to 1,600 participants.

Education           

Amy is a proud two-time Virginia Tech graduate, earning her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2011 and her Master of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management, in 2018.
