Today, you officially join the esteemed ranks of nearly 50,000 Pamplin alumni who are making a difference as leaders in their workplaces and communities. Saonee Sarker, Richard E. Sorensen Dean
Student Speaker: Jonathan Braun
Jonathan is a senior in the Pamplin College of Business pursuing dual degrees in Finance and Real Estate. Beyond his commitment to his academic career within Pamplin, he was involved in a variety of community service activities through his professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. Last summer, he worked with Berkadia as a Mortgage Banking Intern in Chevy Chase, MD. Upon graduation, Jonathan will be a full-time Production Analyst with Colliers International in Tysons Corner, VA, while also pursuing a Master's in Business Analytics from Cornell University.
Keynote Speaker: Yvonne McGill
Yvonne McGill is Dell Technologies' chief financial officer (CFO). She oversees all aspects of the company's finance function, including Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Treasury and Investor Relations, as well as Corporate Development, Global Business Operations and Dell Financial Services. She also partners closely with the office of CEO to develop and execute a long-term strategy that creates value for Dell Technologies' stakeholders.
Yvonne joined Dell Technologies in 1997 and has held various leadership positions prior to assuming the CFO role, including Dell Technologies corporate controller and CFO of the Infrastructure Solutions Group, CFO of Asia-Pacific, Japan and China business, and Chief Accounting Officer.
Yvonne is a founding member and current global sponsor of Women in Action, Dell’s employee resource group focused on enabling women to grow and thrive at Dell. She is also the global sponsor for the Family Balance employee resource group focused on supporting team members with the competing demands of home and work lives.
Prior to Dell, Yvonne spent three years at ManTech International Corporation as assistant controller and five years at Price Waterhouse providing audit and accounting services to a variety of technology companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.
Yvonne serves on the Applied Materials, Inc. Board of Directors and is a member of its Audit, and Corporate Governance and Nominating committees.
