Michael Callihan
Mr. Callihan has served as AEGIS’ president since 2004 after a decade of hands-on experience in software engineering and business consulting. His expertise is in organizational and project leadership, communications, and process improvement, especially in bridging the business-technology divide. Mr. Callihan has worked with large government organizations including the US Army, and many large corporations – HP, Time Warner, and various health care systems. Mr. Callihan is a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a certified Lean Six Sigma Sensei (LSSS). He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF) and participates regularly with ACT-IAC. He has spoken on and chaired panels at the annual CES Government conference in Las Vegas on topics including healthcare technology and federal acquisition policies. He is a member of the Executive Steering Committee of the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) FHIR At Scale Taskforce (FAST). Mr. Callihan won, on behalf of AEGIS, the inaugural Capability Challenge award from the CMMI Institute in 2016. He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with degrees in Information and Decision Systems and Industrial Management
