Reza Rashidi

Dr. Reza Rashidi is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer and Director of Research, Applied Analytics, and Statistics (RAAS) at the Internal Revenue Service, where he serves as a member of the Senior Executive Service. He leads the IRS’s enterprise data, analytics, and statistical research programs in support of tax administration and evidence-based decision-making. Before joining the IRS, he held data and technology leadership roles in the financial services sector.

Dr. Rashidi holds a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University, with a concentration in graph theory and computer science, and an MBA from Georgetown University. He has taught courses in Information Systems and Database Concepts, as well as Advanced Database Management Systems, periodically since 2003. He brings more than 30 years of professional and teaching experience spanning computer science, mathematics, and data analytics.
