About ISERC?

The Integrated Security Education and Research Center (ISERC) is a new facility designed to blend science, technology, policy, and ethics across homeland security, national security, and cybersecurity domains. Virginia Tech, through its Integrated Security Destination Area, is breaking down the boundaries between these disciplines in order to create a more integrated student experience.

The ISERC features a reconfigurable, interactive space that gives students first-hand experience working in a real-time operations center environment as they engage in a variety of active simulations that require skills in building disaster plans, interdisciplinary teamwork, and leadership in crisis scenarios.
