May 22: Pamplin Special Commencement Issue
Relive the excitement of the Spring 2020 commencement ceremony by revisiting all the amazing content from the celebration! This month's newsletter will center around the virtual celebrations that the Pamplin College of Business and PRISM – Pamplin's faculty-led, student-run marketing agency – organized for graduation.
It was my distinct pleasure to host the Pamplin College of Business’s Spring 2020 commencement ceremony. I am well aware that this was not the experience our graduates expected, but I cannot shake the immense sense of pride I feel when reflecting on what our Pamplin graduates, faculty, and staff were able to achieve during this unprecedented time.
I am proud of the tenacity and adaptability the Class of 2020 showed in completing their degrees, and as a college, I am proud that we were able to give our graduates the sendoff they deserved. Holding our first-ever virtual commencement ceremony was no small feat, and I am certain that it will remain a pivotal moment in university history.
This historic moment is a reminder as to why Hokies are known for their resilience. Our ability to overcome adversity by banding together, even virtually through computer and mobile screens, is what will see us through difficult times once more.
