    Feiertag HTM students take first place in international competition , article

    A team of undergraduate students representing the Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management were awarded first place at the STR Student Market Study Competition held virtually Nov. 21-22, 2020. The Feiertag team fended off competition from 50 different teams representing 44 colleges and universities across 17 countries.

    Class of 2020: BIT student charts own journey to success , article

    Alex Byrum's quest for independence led him to conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, then back home to Virginia’s Tidewater region, and, ultimately, to Blacksburg. In January 2021, it will lead Byrum home once again, this time to Smithfield Foods in Norfolk, where he will begin work in Smithfield’s Career Foundation Program.

    CBIA announces Executive Advisory Board , article

    The Center for Business Intelligence and Analytics (CBIA) announced the formation of its Executive Advisory Board. The board, which consists of a “coalition of strong Hokie alums and supporters who work in the field of business intelligence and analytics,” will advise the CBIA, as well as participate in and lead activities for the good of the Center.

Each and every year, we appreciate your generosity. As you look to give year-end gifts, we hope you’ll consider us. If you’d like to support future Pamplin College of Business alumni, you can designate your gifts to several named scholarships or you can contribute to the school’s annual fund which is used to support a range of priorities as they arise.

Please note: there will be no Pamplin Pulse in January. We will return on Feb. 22, 2021.
