Truth-Seeking in an Age of Tribalism: Lessons from the Flint Water Crisis and its Aftermath
Dr. Marc Edwards will discuss his role and that of collaborators in helping resolve water quality crises in Washington, DC and Flint, Michigan and lessons learned from these efforts. He will emphasize the importance of truthseeking by scientists and engineers, and the need to cultivate the scientist within all of us in the face of obstacles posed by bureaucrats and other actors with their own agendas.
