William E. Berry, President and CEO of American Tire Distributors, is a 1977 graduate in Accounting from the Pamplin College of Business.

Mr. Berry joined the predecessor company of ATD in 1984, serving as Controller until 1998. His career path has encompassed several roles of increasing responsibility, including experience in business development, finance, sales, and marketing. He assumed the role of CEO in April, 2009.

Prior to his service with ATD, Mr. Berry gained experience in public accounting, and in financial management for a subsidiary of Dr. Pepper.

Mr. Berry is a proven leader, with a thorough understanding of industry trends, operations, risk management, financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic planning.

He and his wife, Marianne, a 1979 graduate in Elementary Education from Virginia Tech, have two adult children, and reside in Cornelius, NC.
