Virginia Tech’s part-time MBA program in the Washington metropolitan area is again ranked No. 16 in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Graduate Schools 2017 survey.

The program is based in the Pamplin College of Business and known as the Evening MBA.

“We continue to be the top-ranked school in Virginia for part-time MBA programs,” said Pamplin dean Robert Sumichrast.

“Our Evening MBA’s top 20 ranking solidifies Virginia Tech’s position as the top MBA program in Northern Virginia, and No. 2 behind Georgetown University in the D.C. metro area,” Sumichrast said.

“We gained on GMAT score, moving from 610 to 634,” he added. “In two years, we moved from 598 to 634. These improved GMAT scores are indicative of the strength of applicants and students in the Evening MBA program.”

The University of California-Berkeley is again the nation’s top part-time MBA school.

Virginia Tech Evening MBA alumni have credited the program with helping them advance their careers.

Evening MBA classes are taught at the Northern Virginia Center. Its faculty members include faculty who have won teaching awards and national recognition for their research expertise.
