Rain couldn’t dampen spirits at the this year’s Pamplin Kick-off picnic on Friday, September 1, 2017.

Free to all Pamplin faculty, staff, and students, the picnic was held  from 4-6 pm on Alumni Association Lawn at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Picnic-goers enjoyed hotdogs, hamburgers, side dishes, desserts and drinks. The band Empty Bottles played to an appreciative crowd. Students hung out  and high-fived the Hokie Bird, learned more about exciting opportunities to get involved with some of Pamplin’s many student organizations, and mingled with Pamplin faculty and staff, Emeritus faculty, and VT senior leadership.

To liven things up, some brave faculty members and advisors were dunked repeatedly in a dunk tank, people climbed a rock wall, kids raced through the  mega-obstacle course, and anyone could pose for a souvenir photo wearing funny hats, mustaches, feather boas, and other props in a photo booth.
