The Pamplin College of Business recently paid tribute to its Students of Distinction for 2022. These honors included the Outstanding Pamplin Senior Award, H. H. Mitchell Outstanding Leadership Award, College Service Award, as well as the recipients of the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key. Kahlil Dover, a student in the Blackwood Program in Real Estate, was the recipient of the H. H. Mitchell Outstanding Leadership Award. The recipient of the H. H. Mitchell Outstanding Leadership Award exhibits leadership and service within the university and the broader community.

The College Service Award goes to a student who has a minimum GPA of 3.4 and focuses on service in Pamplin programs. Abbey Wills, a Management and Business Information Technology double-major is the recipient of the 2022 award.

The 2022 honoree for the Outstanding Pamplin Senior Award is Haseb Alim, a Marketing major. The Outstanding Pamplin Senior Award goes to a student who exhibits leadership skills, is dedicated to extra-curricular activities and community service, achieves extraordinary grades, and is a well-rounded, accomplished individual.

Since 1912, Delta Sigma Pi has awarded a Scholarship Key to the graduating student with the highest cumulative academic average in business administration or economics. The Scholarship Key is funded by Delta Sigma Pi’s Leadership Foundation. For 2022, Pamplin has six students with a perfect 4.0 GPA. They are: Kathryn Anne Abel, Accounting and Information Systems; Brendan Michael Abramson, Business Information Technology; Haseb Alim, Marketing; Ashley Lynn Barlow, Business Information Technology; Hailey Amanda Page, Business Information Technology; and Brett Smith, Finance, Insurance, and Business Law.

Pamplin’s Students of Distinction fosters Virginia Tech’s goal to demonstrate continued appreciation for the outstanding achievements of students.
