Melissa Chiari

Melissa Chiari is vice president of IT Transformation at Freddie Mac. She leads the division’s transformation and change management efforts, ensuring alignment on strategic technology initiatives between business and IT. Under her leadership, her team is also responsible for developing and maintaining standards, methodologies, processes and tools for IT product and program management.

With more than 25 years of IT experience, Melissa has worked at Freddie Mac for over 15 years, supporting key business initiatives in the IT, Single-Family and Multifamily divisions. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Melissa led Professional Services at a consulting firm focused on the public sector.

Melissa began her career as a systems engineer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). She has a B.A. from Virginia Tech. She lives in Lansdowne, Virginia, with her husband (a fellow Hokie) and two children.
