Matthew Ogburn

President

Matthew Ogburn is an Executive and Business Development Lead with Accenture in the Finance & Enterprise Performance (F&EP) Practice, and a Principal with Mustin Capital Management and Consulting Group, LLC.  He is the 2020 Pamplin School of Business, “Ut Prosim” Award Winner. 

Matthew is actively involved in the Virginia Tech community.  He serves as President of the R.B. Pamplin Society, is a member of the Pamplin Community for Leadership Engagement (PCLE) Advisory Board, supports the Pamplin Advisory Council (PAC), is a member of the Virginia Tech-Carilion (VTC) Medical School MMI Admissions Committee, serves on the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund (Hokie Club) Board of Directors – Executive Committee, is engaged in the PUMP Alumni Mentoring Community, and is a member of both the 1872 and Pylon Societies.

Matthew prioritizes the Non-Profit Community as well – expressly in Southwest Virginia.  Currently, he is Chairman of the Duane Perdue Memorial Foundation (DPMF), Chairman of the American Cancer Society of Southwest Virginia’s Swing Fore a Cure and Board of Trustees, a member of the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Virginia Board of Directors, and is working to bring solar energy infrastructure to Southern Virginia.

Matthew graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (VPI&SU) with a B.S. in Finance, and a B.A. in Political Science.  He lives in Roanoke, VA, with his fiancée (fellow Hokie) and their Golden Retriever named Frank.  Matthew enjoys supporting Virginia Tech Athletics, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, playing guitar, golf, exploring the outdoors, and travel.
