Pamplin Awards
A major initiative of the Pamplin Society is the alumni awards program. As Pamplin has a long-standing tradition of honoring its outstanding alumni, the society will capitalize on this custom in the growing alumni awards program. At present, the Society has established the Ut Prosim Service Award, Rising Young Alum Award, Philanthropy Award, Corporate Ambassador Award and Mentorship Award.
For questions, please contact Crystal Jefferson and/or Caitlin Camire.
Ut Prosim Service Award
The recipient must be an alum for a minimum of 5 years. They should have distinguished himself/herself in rendering service to the community, and demonstrated a proven track record in the spirit of Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, for a prolonged period of time (i.e. 2-3 years).
Rising Young Alum Award
Recipients must be graduates of the past 10 years, and typically under the age of 35. Each should have distinguished himself/herself professionally in his/her career or in rendering service to the university since graduating. When nominating, please include specific examples of how nominee serves as a champion of Pamplin and/or Virginia Tech within their community, company, or organization in supporting Pamplin’s priorities, and/or contributing in the classroom and Pamplin student organizations.
Mentorship Award
The recipient is an individual who consistently embodies the spirit of mentorship of Pamplin students, graduates, and of those in their local community who are not necessarily involved with Pamplin/Virginia Tech. This can be demonstrated through one-to-one mentoring, one-to-many mentoring, serving as a conduit for opening new corporate recruiting relationships, and direct support and participation in Pamplin mentorship programs. Specific examples of impact are important in strengthening a nominee’s case.
Philanthropy Award

Corporate Ambassador Award
The recipient is a company that has demonstrated prolonged support of Pamplin’s mission and its students. Demonstrated via extended recruitment programs, academic partnerships, student mentorship, guest speaker programs, etc.
