Pamplin Ut Prosim Service Award
TJ Loeffler
This award goes to an alumnus who has distinguished himself or herself in giving back to the community in the spirit of Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, for a prolonged period of time.
After several years as a sales analyst at Goldman Sachs, TJ Loeffler pivoted his career to pursue his passion for helping people discover their potential. TJ’s programs help people navigate their past milestones, present pain points, and future fears so they can widen their view, examine their environment, and step forward with confidence and clarity. His process leads people to personal breakthroughs, opening their perspective on who they can be, where they could go, and what they can accomplish. He also extends his passion for service through his ongoing commitment to growing communities in Haiti with the development of a sustainable education model.
Mentorship Award
Nick Cullen
This award goes to a distinguished individual who consistently mentors Pamplin students, graduates, and their local community.
Nick is the head of the North American Real Money Foreign Exchange Sales desk and head of the Americas Foreign Exchange eCommerce Sales desk. In addition, he is actively involved in campus recruiting at Virginia Tech. Over the last 15 years he has dedicated hundreds of hours to advising those who wish to follow in his footsteps. Whether it is a phone call, hosting a networking event, or producing countless referrals for Pamplin alumni, he is dedicated to advancing the minds and careers of his fellow Hokies.
Pamplin Rising Young Alum Award
Bobby Bal
The recipients of this award have all distinguished himself or herself professionally in their career or in rendering service to Virginia Tech since graduating. Three alumni were recognized in this category.
Bobby is a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions team at UBS in New York. Since joining UBS, Bobby has completed more than $50 billion in M&A transactions across several sectors including Energy, Industrials and Healthcare. Bobby regularly hosts SEED and other Virginia Tech students on recruiting trips to New York, and has helped place many of them in internship and full-time roles both at UBS and other firms
Christina Todd
Christina is a Vice President at Cary Street Partners. She has a diverse background of financial experience ranging from a summer internship on Wall Street, commercial banking portfolio management, and financial planning. She currently serves on the Massey Alliance, a young professional organization dedicated to supporting the VCU Massey Cancer Center, the Finance Department Advisory Board and Recent Alumni Board for VT’s Pamplin College of Business.
Ashton Wilson
Concentrating in equity derivatives in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries, Ashton quickly became a senior trader a sizable trading book. He devotes significant time helping students prepare for interviews and providing career advice. He meets with SEED, BASIS, and Innovate students on their annual trips to New York and he travels to Blacksburg to speak with students interested in Wall Street careers. Ashton also participates with other alumni at the Hokies on Wall Street events and is a founding member of the Pamplin Recent Alumni Board.
Pamplin Corporate Ambassador Award
Deloitte
The recipient of this award is a company that has demonstrated prolonged support of Pamplin’s mission and its students. Support includes recruitment programs, academic partnerships, student mentorship, guest speaker programs, and more.
Deloitte is proud to deliver a strong commitment to recruiting from Virginia Tech, and particularly within the Pamplin College of Business. They employ over 600 Virginia Tech alumni nation-wide. Deloitte has been the top or among the top-hiring employers on campus for the last several years. In the most recent recruiting cycle for full-time and internship opportunities, more than 50 students from Pamplin were hired.
