Kim Adams

Kim Adams is the Director of SOX and Accounting Policy at Union Bankshares. She leads a team and primarily serves as the technical accounting subject matter expert and provides guidance and analysis regarding significant or unusual transactions. She plays a lead role in analyzing and implementing new and/or developing authoritative pronouncements and/or standards. Kim Adams is also responsible for managing the overall SOX program at the Union, which includes evaluating the design of ICFR controls, managing and facilitating remediation related to ICFR control deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, as well as executing quarterly certifications and other 404 compliance management tasks. Kim also assists in the preparation and review of SEC filings.

Tessa Anderson

Tessa Anderson is a Senior Assistant Brand Manager for Nat Sherman LLC.

Tessa previously spent six months in the Field Sales Organization, serving as a Territory Sales Manager and Account Analyst for 7-Eleven. Prior to that, Tessa served on the Skoal Brand team. She also spent time as part of the John Middleton brand team when she joined the company in 2013.

Tessa is a Richmond native and a graduate of the Virginia Tech. She is actively involved in the Richmond community and is a spin instructor at Boho Cycle Studio.

John Ashbury

John Asbury is President & CEO of Union Bankshares, which is headquartered in Richmond, VA. Union is Virginia’s bank with more than $9 billion in assets and the only statewide branch network of any bank headquartered in the Commonwealth. Prior to Asbury’s arrival at Union, he was the President and CEO of First National Bank of Santa Fe, the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the Business Services Group at Regions Financial Corporation and spent 17 years at Bank of America. Asbury began his banking career in the management-training program at Wachovia Bank & Trust in Winston-Salem, NC after graduating from Virginia Tech. He also holds an MBA from The College of William & Mary. Born in Radford, Asbury is active in the community serving on both the Richmond and Virginia Chamber of Commerce; The Virginia Banker’s Association and is a member of the Management Round Table and Forum Club.

Starlette Johnson

Since 2012, Starlette Johnson has served as a consultant to the restaurant industry, through SBJ Advisory Group, LLC, working with private equity companies, industry service providers, and emerging brands. From October 2015 to October 2016, Ms. Johnson was President and Chief Executive Officer for a portfolio company of Front Burner Restaurant Group in Dallas, and continues to serve on the board of the parent company. Ms. Johnson is also currently a member of the Board, serves on the Audit Committee, and is Chair of the Nominating/Governance Committee for Chuy’s Inc., a full-service casual Mexican chain. She is also a member of the Board and serves as chair of the Audit Committee of Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits. In addition, she is chair of the board of privately-held SusieCakes, a classic desserts bakery based in Southern California, and also serves on the Advisory Board for the Hospitality & Tourism Program and on the cabinet of the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech

Ms. Johnson received an MBA from Duke University, and a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech.
