Programs
Fireside Chats will be during class lab time (2:30 on Fridays) in the Fall Semester & scheduled evenings in the Spring: Guest entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and other experts will be sharing their stories all throughout the year to the Innovate community and invited guests. A variety of topics will be discussed along with personal success stories, failures, and lessons learned through the process of developing careers, businesses, and/or new ventures.
WEinnovate: The purpose of this program is to promote diversity within our community and empower young women to pursue their ideas, see potential in themselves, learn how to find solutions to problems and overcome barriers to entry. This initiative is helping to develop an inclusive and supportive culture for entrepreneurial women in what has been historically a male-dominated discipline. Innovate will bring in various female speakers who represent women from all walks of life to inspire young women to find opportunities to create, innovate, solve problems and develop solutions.
Treks: As part of our mission to provide experiential learning to our Innovators, we will have treks to local companies every semester. In the past, treks have taken Innovate students to Charlotte, New York City, and Washington D.C.
Community Events: The very essence of Innovate is community. We want students to feel that they belong and are known by their peers. We foster this sense of belonging by providing opportunities for students to engage in events that build strong relationships, connections both personally and professionally, as well as opportunities to develop interpersonal skills. Events include family dinners, game nights, Fall Family Weekend events, holiday parties, movie nights, and local attractions. There is never a dull moment in Innovate!
Join us for Weekly Events, designed exclusively for Innovators who are eager to build skills, forge meaningful relationships, and grow in a supportive community. Each week, we dive into topics that matter most to aspiring entrepreneurs—from leadership and innovation to networking and team building. These events provide the perfect platform to learn from industry experts and campus professionals, sharpen skills, and connect with your peers.
Strategic Alliance is a collaborative study hall hosted weekly. Whether Innovators are prepping for exams, working on a project, or just need a focused environment to tackle your assignments, this event is the perfect opportunity to boost productivity.
In this supportive setting, students will have the chance to share resources, exchange ideas, and form study partnerships. Our goal is to create a strategic alliance where students can leverage each other's strengths, clarify doubts, and gain new perspectives on challenging topics.
Community Culture meets weekly in the evenings to build a healthy and inclusive community (corporate) culture. This group will work together to develop initiatives that focus on eight dimensions of wellness, identity exploration, and service the larger community.
Venture is a dynamic weekly group where students come together to learn new skills, collaborate on exciting projects, and create two large-scale events that will take place in the spring.
Whether you’re interested in event planning, marketing, leadership, or just want to be part of something bigger, Venture offers a unique opportunity to grow and make a real impact. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work with like-minded peers, and see your ideas come to life in a big way.
