    PRISM Takes on NTC , redirect

    PRISMites headed up to New York City on October 11th to start their 7th annual trip. They traveled eight hours in vans eager to visit high-profile advertising agencies. Each year the trip gives members the opportunity to explore career paths in agencies while leveraging new skills and feedback received from alumni and professionals. During the trip, PRISM visited six agencies, Candyspace/Kinetic, FCB, ScreenVision, Etsy, Droga5, and McGarryBowen.

    Tara Petrucci, Pamplin’s 3rd Rising Star , article

    Pamplin’s Rising Star Award was created to recognize a young woman who exemplifies what it means to be a leader, as a student, an alumna, and in her career. Pamplin’s Rising Star Award 2017 was presented to Tara Petrucci on Thursday, Oct. 12, at the eighth annual Women in Business event at Morgan Stanley. This award recognizes a young woman who exemplifies what it means to be a leader, as a student, an alumna, and in her career.

    Women in Business: Navigating and Negotiating , article

    How do you navigate and negotiate as a woman in the field of business? This was the topic of discussion for Pamplin’s 8th Annual Women in Business (WIB) event. NYC-based alumnae and students from Collegiate Women in Business and PRISM gathered at Morgan Stanley on October 12 to network and hear from a panel of leaders. Three strong women sat on the panel—Tracy Castle-Newman, Charlotte Ryland, and Julie Talbot—all Pamplin alumnae. Mandell Crawley was the fourth member of the panel, adding a different perspective to the conversation since he was the only male.

    Business Economics (ECON) degree to be discontinued , article

    Pamplin is in the process of discontinuing the B.S. in Business, Economics (ECON) degree within the College of Business. The last opportunity students will have to change into ECON or add ECON as a second major will be during the December/January change major period. As an unrestricted major, students will have 6 weeks to apply for ECON (December 19, 2016- January 27, 2017).

    Pamplin’s Award-Winning Alumni , article

    As a long-standing tradition, Pamplin has honored its outstanding alumni. The Pamplin Society established four new awards in 2017 to recognize additional alumni—the Pamplin Ut Prosim Service Award, Pamplin Rising Young Alum Award, Pamplin Corporate Ambassador Award, and Mentorship Award. The awards were presented at the annual Pamplin Advisory Council dinner in September.
