Date: October 26, 6pm EST

The Pamplin College of Business is co-sponsoring a speaker series on race, gender, and other concepts related to equality, fairness, and the role of organizations in society.

We invite you to join us on Monday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. ET, for the first speaker, Professor Dawn Bennett-Alexander, of the University of Georgia, for her talk, “Law, Race, and Organizations: 2020 and Beyond.”

The deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and others at the hands of law enforcement have highlighted the numerous deleterious effects of racial discrimination. Bennett-Alexander will examine powerful social forces tied to race, highlight the current legal environment related to race, and show how individuals, managers, and executives can foster a culture free from racial bias and bring that culture forward into the broader society.

The other co-sponsors are University of Connecticut School of Business, the Department of Business Law and Ethics at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
