Recently, Virginia Tech’s Master of Information Technology (VT-MIT) program launched a scholarship program designed to aid traditionally underrepresented student populations. The MIT Scholars program will provide an average of $2,000 per term for tuition and fees to help support applicants who are pursuing a Master of Information Technology degree.
Pamplin alumni enjoy action-packed Homecoming weekend
Hokies from near and far convened in Blacksburg for Homecoming festivities Oct. 13-15. Pamplin alumni came together for a PAC Leadership Retreat, departmental advisory board meetings, an Accounting and Information Systems corporate-sponsored tailgate, a GBAC tour, a Hokie Talk featuring Department of Management Faculty Trey Lewis, and much more.
National Business Women’s Week
The third week in October is observed as National Business Women’s Week. This celebration highlights the accomplishments and achievements of women in the business.
For the first time in the college’s history, Pamplin has a female dean as well as women represented across various leadership positions. To celebrate, nearly two dozen women representing the college gathered together in the Pamplin atrium for the above photo.

Save the Dates: Pamplin Sesquicentennial Feature Month - December 2022
Virginia Tech is marking the 150th anniversary of its founding with ongoing celebrations extending across the commonwealth, nation, and world from July 2021 through December 2022. Virginia Tech's finale month in December features Pamplin College of Business. Join the college and fellow alumni and friends for Pamplin Sesquicentennial events in your region and virtually. Please refer to the dates and locations below.

Pamplin College of Business Tailgate
Join Pamplin College of Business alumni and friends before the Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech game. A pregame tailgate will be held at the Hahn Pavilion in the Horticulture Garden. There will be a full buffet, adult beverages, live music, tailgate games, and more.
The cost to attend is $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 years old and younger. Pamplin F/S are free to attend. Registration is required.

Speaker event featuring Under Armour Chief Information Security Officer Alex Attumalil
Pamplin College of Business Security, Privacy, and Trust invites the Virginia Tech community to attend an exciting guest speaker event featuring Alex Attumalil, chief information security officer at Under Armour.
The event will take place virtually on Friday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m. All members of the university community, including faculty, staff, and students, are encouraged to attend. Zoom details will be shared with registrants prior to the event.
