Resume advice overwhelming you? Wondering how to ensure you will stand out? Sign up for Resume Bootcamp, a 2 hour workshop that takes the guess work out of building a stand-out resume. Walk away with a resume that gets noticed – and gets results.

What is Resume Bootcamp?

A focused, hands-on workshop designed to help you create a strong, targeted resume that stands out to employers and works with today’s hiring technology.  You’ll work step-by-step to refine or build your resume based on your background, goals, and experience level—with expert guidance throughout. The workshop will include time to implement what you learn, with experts by your side to answer specific questions.

This isn’t a lecture. It’s a working session where you’ll learn best practices and immediately apply them, with career advisors available to answer questions and provide individualized support.

  • Employer-informed resume guidance
  • ATS-aware formatting and content
  • Built for internships and full-time roles
  • Individualized support throughout

Why attend Resume Bootcamp?

Resumes have become more complex—and more critical—than ever before. With applicant tracking systems, AI-based screening tools, and increased competition, small details can have a big impact.

Resume Bootcamp breaks down:

  • What employers actually look for
  • Common resume mistakes that prevent interviews
  • How to present experience clearly and effectively

This workshop gives students a clear framework they can return to throughout their college career.

What You'll Learn...

How recruiters and employers review resumes, and how to structure for clarity and readability.

Writing strong, results-driven bullet points that hightlight YOUR skills and impact (even if you have limited experience).

How to tailor content for different roles and industries using data and industry insights.

What to expect:

  • A guided, hands-on resume workshop
  • Employer-informed insights on formatting, content, and structure
  • Tips encompassing all experience levels and career goals
  • Dedicated time to work on your resume
  • One-on-one support from career services experts throughout the session

You’ll have time to ask questions, get feedback, and make meaningful progress—not just take notes.

  • Business majors at any stage
  • Students preparing for internships, full-time roles, or networking events
