New Student Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration

Welcome to the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech! 

Pamplin Undergraduate Programs is excited to help you get you started on your new journey.  Please review the following information carefully. 

Virtual Academic Advising and Course Registration for new Pamplin students will begin in June 2024.  All new students will be contacted via email (vt.edu email address only) by the Pamplin advising team in early June. 

To prepare for Advising and Registration, please complete the action items listed below:

All email communication will be sent to your vt.edu email address so please make sure you check that email account often! 

  • Create your Virginia Tech username You will receive an email to create your Virginia Tech Username after your enrollment deposit has been received and processed.
  • Sign up for 2-factor authentication, using your own device, and make sure you have it with you during your virtual advising session.
  • Access, read, and use your Virginia Tech email daily (and check your junk folder often!)
  • Set up your Virginia Tech zoom account – all new student advising sessions will be held via zoom
  • Send all official high school, college, and university transcripts (with final grades) to the Admissions Office
    • Transcripts should be sent through electronic transfer (e.g. Parchment) or through mail to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 925 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, VA 24061
  • Send official AP, IB, CLEP, and Cambridge scores to the Registrar’s Office
    • Office of the University Registrar (0134), Student Services Bldg, Suite 250, 800 Washington Street, Blacksburg, VA 24061, School code 5859
    • If you took exams in multiple years, request that your entire score report be sent
  • Review how your credits may transfer to Virginia Tech
  • Verify receipt of AP, IB, CLEP, Cambridge, and transfer credits on HokieSpa (check back often)
