Tseng’s research focuses on the analysis and development of entrepreneurship. His studies have found that technology innovation, entrepreneurial opportunity, and organizational learning are increasingly important to new business development. Tseng has published refereed journal articles and presented at national and international conferences, receiving the best paper award at the 2014 annual meeting of the U.S. Association for Small Business Entrepreneurship. He has also served as an advisor, mentor, editorial board member, track chair, and reviewer for conference and journal publications.

His work has received multiple recognitions for programmatic excellence, including, most recently, the International Council for Small Business 2018 Global Award for Entrepreneurship Education Excellence.

Before coming to America, Tseng managed National Taiwan University’s Innovation and Incubation Center, supporting more than 100 developing enterprises.
