Andrew (Andy) Arnette’s research interests are in the areas of disaster relief and humanitarian logistics, sustainability in supply chains, and the use of geographic information systems in decision modeling. His work has appeared in numerous outlets. He is a member of INFORMS and POMS, and he has co-chaired sessions on disaster relief and humanitarian logistics at the INFORMS Annual Meeting since 2014.

He was previously an associate professor of Decision Science and chair of the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Wyoming. While there, he won several teaching awards, helped build a new supply chain management program, and was an advocate for developing a business analytics program.

Arnette also served on the advisory board for the Social Justice Research Center, which aimed to support and advocate for research across campus that was devoted to broader societal impacts, and served on the Sustainable Business Practices Committee, which provided grant funding to business research focused on sustainability
