Cynthia Devers’ research examines the influence of formal and informal governance mechanisms, social evaluations, and individual differences on managerial decision making and individual and organizational outcomes.

She has published 20 peer-reviewed articles and her work has been cited more than 1,500 times by web of science and 4,000 times according to Google Scholar.

Devers serves as an international research fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation and as representative-at-large to the Board of Governors for the Academy of Management, the largest professional organization in field of management.

She most recently served as Lawrence E. Fouraker Professor in Business and associate department head in the Department of Management in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She also has been a member of the faculty at the University of Wisconsin, Tulane University, and Michigan State University.
