Julia S. Acton
Responsibilities
Julia serves as office manager for the Pamplin Undergraduate Programs Office, as well as administrative assistant to the Associate Dean. She is responsible for processing change majors, late withdrawals, resignations, force-adds, late drops, academic relief, and processes all independent studies and special studies for the College of Business. She is responsible for curriculum management via JIRA, works directly with the college’s spring and fall commencement programs and activities, and provides administrative assistance for multiple college committees.
Biography
Born and raised in Christiansburg, Virginia, Julia now resides in Dublin, VA. She has been employed at Virginia Tech since February 1978, and with the Pamplin Undergraduate Programs Office since March 2005. In her spare time she enjoys reading and home improvement projects.
