Responsibilities
Emily currently serves as Pamplin’s Director for Student Success. She is responsible for developing and implementing outreach and engagement strategies for empowerment, resiliency, and belonging of undergraduate students. She develops and manages co-curricular programs to support holistic development of undergraduate students.
Biography
Emily McCorkle is originally from the Northern VA-DC Metro area. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the Pamplin College of Business in 2011. She also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration at Virginia Tech.
Emily’s career started in technical staffing and recruiting and has over ten years of direct recruitment and strategic outreach experience. She previously served as the College’s Director of Recruitment & Retention where supervised all recruiting functions and worked closely with prospective underrepresented and underserved students. Emily also previously served as a Career Advisor for the College and continues to develop relationships with employers, corporate sponsors, and alumni.
