Biography

Parker grew up in northern Georgia. After high school he moved northwest where he completed an undergraduate program in Psychology at the University of Montana. After graduating from UM, Parker decided to return to the south-eastern United States to be closer to his family. He enrolled in the counselor education master’s program at Radford University and, after completing his degree, he began to work as an academic advisor. Parker is particularly interested in working with at-risk populations and he enjoys using his counseling background to present an uplifting and meaningful advising experience to his students.

The New River Valley has quickly become Parker’s home. Outside of work, he enjoys everything from Kayaking and Fishing to Dungeon and Dragons and working on his homestead. Parker and his spouse hope to visit all the national parks in the United States.
