Responsibilities

Melanie is responsible for advising a portion of the undergraduate students in the Pamplin College of Business.

Biography

Melanie earned her bachelor’s degree in International Studies and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, College Student Affairs at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. After studying abroad in Japan in her junior year and working with students in various positions on campus, Melanie realized that she wanted to pursue a career in academic advising and help students work towards their academic, personal, and professional goals in college.

In Florida, she worked with international graduate students as an advisor in the INTO USF Pathway program at the University of South Florida, and academically at-risk students as an Academic Success Coach at Florida Gulf coast University. In 2021 she moved with her husband and two cats, to the NRV area to work for Radford University before joining the academic advising team in the Pamplin College of Business.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys cooking, hiking, playing video games, and making digital art.
